The Torch Relay in Saitama will kick off in the city of Kawaguchi, ending in the cities of Tokorozawa on the first day, Kumagaya on the second day and Saitama on the third day where a celebration will take place at the end of each day.

The highlights of the Torch Relay in Saitama will include: Soka-matsubara, the scenic pine grove in the city of Soka, made famous as one of the scenic routes mentioned in the classic, “Oku no Hosomichi: The Narrow Road to the Deep North” by Basho Matsuo; the layers of rock, a national site of scenic beauty and a natural monument, in the town of Nagatoro, famous for river rafting on the Arakawa River; Kumagaya Rugby Stadium in the city of Kumagaya, one of the venues in the Rugby World Cup 2019; and the beautiful streets of Kawagoe City lined with traditional warehouse style architecture.
