The Torch Relay in Chiba will start at Kisarazu City’s “Umi-hotaru” parking area, floating in the middle of Tokyo Bay, and will end in the cities of Sammu on the first day, Chiba on the second day and Matsudo on the third day, with a celebration taking place at the end of each day.

The highlights of the Torch Relay in Chiba will include: Makuhari Messe in the city of Chiba, a competition venue for a number of Olympic and Paralympic sports; Tsurigasaki Surfing Beach, the venue for surfing; the port of Choshi, boasting the highest volume of fish landing in Japan; Sanrizuka Sakura-no-oka in the city of Narita from where you can see up close the airplanes from all over the world take off and land at the airport; and the historical Mt. Narita Shinshoji Temple and the main approach to the temple lined up with many shops offering gourmet delights and souvenirs.
