The Torch Relay in Kanagawa will start in the town of Hakone, and will end in the cities of Fujisawa on the first day, Sagamihara on the second day and Yokohama on the third day, with a celebration taking place at the end of each day.

The highlights of the Torch Relay in Kanagawa will include: Mt. Oyama in the city of Isehara, popular among hikers and recognised as a Japan heritage; Enoshima, the venue for the Olympic and Paralympic sailing competitions; and the Tsurugaoka-hachimangu Shrine in the centre of the ancient city of Kamakura. In Yokohama City, the Torch Relay will pass by International Stadium Yokohama, the competition venue for football, Yokohama Stadium where baseball and softball competitions will be held, and other locations typical of Yokohama, which is celebrating the 160th anniversary of the opening of its port.
