Important notice
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay will be held from 12 August 2021 until 24 August 2021, during the transition period from the Olympic Games to the Paralympic Games. It will aim to create a festive atmosphere in the run-up to the Paralympic Games while maintaining the momentum generated by the Olympic Games.
Going forward, Tokyo 2020 will coordinate with the authorities in each prefecture regarding the detailed schedule of Flame lighting festivals, departure ceremonies and other ceremonies along the route of the Relay. More information will be available in due course.

The Kagawa Prefecture Paralympic Flame Festival will feature flame lighting in nine cities and towns throughout the prefecture, the bringing together of the flames at Sunport Takamatsu, and Paralympic flame visits to four cities and towns in the prefecture, after which the Paralympic flame will depart from the Kagawa Prefectural Government Building for Tokyo. In addition to lighting the Paralympic flame at Yashima, our famous scenic spot, with Taiwanese Paralympians who are scheduled to visit for their pre-Games training camp, plans are being refined in various famous sites in nine cities and towns throughout the prefecture, so please be sure to participate. The flames from these nine cities and towns from throughout the prefecture will be brought together at Sunport Takamatsu to form the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic flame (Kagawa Prefecture). Anyone is welcome to come and watch this event.
