Tokyo is ready to make history and preparations are underway for the staging of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It is set to be the largest and most-watched ceremony of the year with billions of people expected to tune in to celebrate the Games.
As part of the preparations, The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games have established a “Basic Policy” to deliver a ceremony production that fans and audiences will love, while at the same time highlighting the appeal of Japan and Tokyo to the world.
The “Basic Policy” defines our approach to the creative production of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Tokyo 2020 Games.
