Current world long jump champion Tajay Gayle of Jamaica put on a fine performance at the Velocity Fest in the capital Kingston. A wind-aided 8.52m jump was just 0.17m shy of his IAAF World Championship winning jump last year. His legal jump was 8.23m.

After the return of J.League last month, the Nadeshiko League is set to kick off tomorrow (18 July). After the original start date to the season (March) was postponed, players will finally get the chance to be back on the pitch.
