The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games held the 7th meeting of its Mascot Selection Process Panel on Tuesday 16 March.
Discussions at the meeting centred on the entry rules, resuming at the point reached at the previous session. The panel plans to compile the rules based on its discussions to date and submit them to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
Panel member and TV personality/singer Shoko Nakagawa remarked, We want professional illustrators to submit entries, as well as adults who are still full of childhood passion. I would like them to design with all their hearts and souls, and go ahead and submit their results.
The next meeting of the Mascot Selection Process Panel is scheduled for mid April.
