Rio 2016 Women's Hammer Final

Coming off the back of her London 2012 win and a world record of 81.08m a year prior, Polish hammer thrower Anita Wlodarczyk was seeking her second Olympic gold at Rio 2016. Using the old glove in memory of former champion and close friend Kamila Skolimowska, Wlodarczyk was confident that she could outdo all her previous successes. But she would have to face 11 other rivals including ZHANG Wenxiu from the People's Republic of China - a veteran on the Olympic circuit - and also Sophie Hitchon of Great Britain - an upcoming hammer thrower who had just made a new British record in the World Championships. Would Wlodarcyzk succeed?
