Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Sustainability Plan
This plan illustrates the overall direction, goals, targets and measures to be implemented for the Games preparations and operations that take sustainability into full consideration, and serves as a frame of actions for Games Delivery Partners.
In January 2017, we formulated Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Sustainability Plan Version 1, which outlines the overall direction and qualitative objectives for sustainable Games. Following this, we conducted studies aimed at setting specific targets for the main themes featured in the plan along with measures to achieve the plan's objectives, and in June 2018 released Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Sustainability Plan Version 2.
Based on the Sustainability Plan, the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee is implementing a wide range of measures aimed at ensuring the sustainable Games.
